Southern CA Desert Chapter of HFTP is committed to the education and development of students interested in pursuing a career in accounting. DHAA has scholarships available that are renewable annually. Our scholarships vary per award, per year.

Applicants must be from the Coachella Valley; who are high school graduating seniors, or currently enrolled in Junior College or at an accredited University actively pursuing a degree in accounting.

Continuing education in the accounting field for working adults will also be considered.

Our Purpose:

To provide educational scholarships for Coachella Valley students in the Hospitality Accounting field

DHAA has scholarships available that are renewable annually. Our scholarships range from $500 to $1500 per award per year. Applicants must be from the Coachella Valley; who are high school graduating seniors, or currently enrolled in junior college or at an accredited University actively pursing a degree in Accounting. Continuing education in the accounting field for working adults will also be considered.

Our Requirements:

• The Applicant must be studying accounting.
• The Applicant must hold a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• DHAA members holding a management position (Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.) are not eligible to apply.
• Children of DHAA Members are eligible, if they are studying accounting.
• Applicants must have at least one year of school to complete.

Checklist Of Scholarship Submission:

• Completed Scholarship Application
• Two Letters of Reference
• Essay

Please note, first letter of reference must be from College Professor, Administrator or Teacher.

Second Letter must be from a personal reference or a supervisor/manager.
